The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, said in Algiers on Sunday that the Algerian one-stop investment office (guichet unique de l'investissement) will be strengthened to support, guide and direct investment projects, ensuring an equitable distribution of development across the country.
“The one-stop counter is the radical solution to the problem of land for investment, which is not the responsibility of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI),” declared the President of the Republic in a speech at the opening of the second edition of the National Meeting with Economic Operators.
He added that this counter, which will bring together representatives from various ministerial sectors and banks, “endowed with all prerogatives”, is “the radical solution” to all the challenges facing promoters.
Noting that the AAPI “bears burdens that exceed its capacities”, the Chairman recalled that work on this project began three years ago.
After indicating that a presidential decree will regulate the operation of the one-stop shop, the President underlined his determination to eliminate all forms of bureaucracy and “set up control systems at all levels to support national production, which today rivals imported products” in terms of quality.
