The politics of paradox

Power dynamics are being established in the Middle East, but historically, they are dated, hence the search for a new model to determine the structures of this part of the globe. From this arises the need to exert more pressure on the Zionist entity to respect the sovereignty of states. Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria must benefit from these new arrangements, as they are victims of repeated aggressions. Nothing can legitimize domination over entire territories, even if an enormous rhetoric is deployed to try to justify this situation. One of the necessary steps in this process is the return to a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the implementation of all stages of an agreement concluded several weeks ago. Friends of the Palestinian cause have never ceased to demand the protection of civilians, the facilitation of humanitarian aid delivery to Gaza, and respect for the principles of international law. Currently, this is far from being the case. On the contrary, it is the policy of genocide that is being adopted by the Zionist occupation, both in Gaza and in the West Bank. The entire framework aimed at establishing a Palestinian state is under threat. Demographically, the attempted expulsion of the Palestinian people from their homeland would inevitably lead to imposing the full sovereignty of the invader over entire territories. The establishment of settlements, according to the occupier’s ideology, involves massacres, forced displacements, and the expropriation of land. Refugee camps are being emptied of their inhabitants. Homes are destroyed, and economic and social infrastructure is demolished. Despite this disaster, the people’s struggle for freedom does not waver. A heavy toll is being paid for this ideal. Thousands of martyrs and wounded are victims of the aggression. The search for a solution is slow to materialize. States are more interested in asserting their domination over the entire region. As for Algeria, there is no question of abandoning Palestine, which it continues to defend while demanding that those responsible for the crimes committed in Gaza be held accountable. The country tirelessly highlights the battle being waged in this regard within the United Nations. In this respect, the Palestinian question remains fundamental. The solution will necessarily come from consultation and agreement, not from the restricted meetings that have taken place regarding the situation in Palestine. Algeria maintains good relations with partners across all continents, and efforts have been made to rally international opinion around ending the Zionist aggression.
