The President of the Republic stresses the importance of the APRM in strengthening good governance and promoting stability

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, reaffirmed the importance of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) in strengthening good governance and promoting stability, on Friday at the headquarters of the African Union (AU) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

In a statement delivered during his chairmanship of the 34th Summit of APRM Heads of State and Government, the President of the Republic said that “the APRM is now important for strengthening good governance and promoting stability”, adding that the Mechanism was not a mere formality.

The President of the Republic took the opportunity to call for “unified efforts for the progress of Africa” and to “defend the interests of its peoples”.
