President of the Republic extends condolences to his Ugandan counterpart over landslide in Uganda

The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, sent a message of condolence to his Ugandan counterpart, Mr. Yoweri Museveni, on Monday, following a collapse on the outskirts of the capital Kampala in which 24 people died and dozens were injured.

"Mr. President and dear brother, it is with immense sadness and deep sorrow that I learned the news of the terrible collapse in the suburbs of the capital Kampala, in which 24 Ugandan citizens, including children, perished, and dozens of others were injured," reads the condolence message.

"In this painful ordeal, I offer you and the Ugandan Government, and through you, the families of the victims, on my behalf and behalf of the Algerian people and Government, my sincere condolences, assuring you of our solidarity and compassion and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured," wrote the President of the Republic in his message.

"While reiterating our sincere condolences, please accept, Mr. President and dear brother, the expression of our highest consideration and profound respect", added the President of the Republic.
