The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, welcomed the Sultan of Oman, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, at Algiers' Houari-Boumediene international airport on Sunday afternoon, as he embarked on a two-day state visit to Algeria.
The President of the Republic extended an official welcome to his brother, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, in the presence of senior State officials and members of the government.
The President of the Republic and the Sultan of Oman listened to the national anthems of both countries, before being greeted by detachments of the various Forces of the People's National Army (ANP), as 21 cannon shots rang out in honor of Algeria's guest.
