The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, held talks on Sunday afternoon at the VIP lounge of Houari Boumediene International Airport ,Algiers, with the Sultan of Oman, a brotherly country, His Majesty Haitham bin Tariq, who began a two-day state visit to Algeria.
Earlier, the President of the Republic had given a warm official welcome to his brother, His Majesty Haitham bin Tariq, in the presence of senior state officials, members of the government, and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Algiers.
The President of the Republic and the Sultan of Oman listened to the national anthems of both countries before reviewing detachments of the various forces of the People's National Army (ANP), which rendered honors to them, while 21 cannon shots were fired in honor of Algeria’s guest.
