Reducing tension

Diplomats are stepping up their efforts to prevent escalation in the Middle East, without losing sight of the quest for greater influence on the international stage. The diplomatic ballet taking place in certain capitals and within international bodies attests to the concern aroused by the situation, with the fear of an extension of the conflict. At the same time, the Palestinian President recalls the efforts being made at all levels to put an end to Zionist aggression and genocidal war. Added to this is the importance of mobilizing in support of the two-state solution. In the West, the British and Germans are calling for appeasement, and do not accept that their influence should not mark a retreat in the face of a complicated situation.

Governments across the region are stressing the urgent need to halt Zionist aggression and reduce tensions. The massacres are strongly condemned, and the targeting of innocent people is a challenge to the world's conscience, which must act to put an end to this barbarism. After more than ten months of aggression, the people are still paying a heavy price, and it is urgent to ensure peace and stability through negotiations in compliance with international law, whose silence is no longer acceptable with regard to the crimes in Ghaza perpetrated with the support of certain Western countries. Such an approach endangers peace and security in the region and the world, by encouraging the Zionist entity to continue its crimes. At the same time, calls for an end to the conflict and a rapid delivery of aid to the people of Ghaza continue. The danger is everywhere, as confirmed by the risk of the spread of polio and other diseases in the Ghaza Strip. There is also the refusal to allow humanitarian aid missions to carry out their work. This blockage is jeopardizing efforts to meet urgent humanitarian needs. So far, combined international efforts have failed to halt or at least mitigate the deluge of bombs on martyred Ghaza. So where will the solution come from, given that the world is totally bound by the tentacular actions of the Zionist lobby?
