Politis-El Moudjahid, the monthly magazine in its eighth issue, is available online since yesterday on the website "www.elmoudjahid.dz". The magazine focuses on current events and gives pride of place to background papers, dossiers and contributions from experts.
The issue features a dossier entitled "La mondialisation (mal) heureuse" dealing with the looming food crisis, accentuated by the war in Ukraine, two countries that account for some 30% of world wheat production.
The magazine recalls the proposals of Algeria and refers to the intervention of the Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, Ambassador Nadir Larbaoui, who had participated in late May, the debate of the Security Council devoted to food security and conflicts.
Politis also publishes a dossier on the economic crisis and the geostrategic upheaval in the world in issue 8. Written by Abderahmane Mebtoul, university professor and international expert, followed by an article by Abdelaziz Sebaâ, former journalist, editor-in-chief of Algérie Actualités, and former CEO of the daily Horizons. In the article "Europe - energy: heading for the Eastern Mediterranean", the author attests that the war in Ukraine is not a conventional war, but an atypical war that sees the economic take precedence over the military. He assures that the objective of the West is clearly to provoke the economic collapse of Russia, rather than to defeat it militarily. The other issue is the state visits made by the President of the Republic to Turkey and Italy, which confirm that Algeria's relations with its friends are based on "trust and a single word.
In terms of the fight against terrorism, Makhlouf Sahel, university professor and specialist in geopolitics and international issues, believes that the report submitted by the President of the Republic to the AU summit on terrorism has demonstrated the relevance of the vision and commitment of Algeria.
The reflection "The blue gold, issues and prospects" is signed Mourad Termoul. As for Djilali Smaili, forestry expert of the Conservation of Forests of Ain Defla, he wonders about the role of the forest in the national development policy. In the section "Heritage", Politis highlights the Oranese blousa, "a traditional dress inescapable in the west of the country", and also devotes a large space to the Mediterranean Games Oran-2022.
